METHANOL DUAL FUEL TRAINING

A comprehensive methanol dual fuel training curriculum.

Operating sophisticated methanol dual fuel vessels requires qualified and well-trained seafarers, which is the key pillar to operating safe and efficient vessels.

GREEN MARINE has developed a comprehensive methanol dual fuel training curriculum, to educate seafarers, superintendents, technical managers and everyone who has direct interests and control over the management and operations of vessels powered by methanol. The training will supplement the mandatory Basic and Advanced IGF Code training.

The training serves as a venue for the trainees to directly interact with the facilitators, whom are Captain and Chief Engineers, with actual onboard operational experience from methanol dual fuel vessels, as well as extensive methanol dual fuel newbuilding construction supervision expertise. The training curriculum is developed based on actual onboard operational experience.

The training focus on all the components and systems involved in operating with methanol dual fuel technology, and also the rules and regulations to understand why the safety systems are built as they are, which provides a deeper knowledge and level of understanding.
